  • Can I get brow lamination done while pregnant/breastfeeding?
Pregnant/breastfeeding clients tend to show more skin sensitivity and irregular hair cycles, both of which can affect the service. If you are an existing client that has been getting brow laminations or lash lifts done pre pregnancy then we can proceed with the treatment. New clients are advised to check with their doctor just to be on the safe side.
  • What is the minimum age to do a lash lift/brow lamination?
Minors must have a parent/guardian present to sign off on then intake form and be at least 14 years of age. Waxing clients may be as young as 11 years old.
  • What is the maintenance time for brow laminations?
The longevity of the results vary depending on growth cycles, hormones, clients lifestyle, aftercare and genetics. Typically clients can go 7-8 weeks, with a brow wax in between to refresh the shape. Proper aftercare will give longer lasting results.
  • Are brow laminations damaging to the hairs?
Brow laminations are services that chemically alter the bonds in the hair. If improperly and not taken care of post service, then yes it will damage. At Brows by Ash, the number one priority is the clients best interest. This includes declining certain services that don’t fit the clients lifestyle to keep the brows and lashes as healthy as we can.
  • Who is a good candidate for brow lamination?
Clients with substantial amount of hair, unruly brows, brows that lack in shape naturally and those wanting a fuller and fluffier brow.
  • Who is NOT a good candidate for brow lamination?
Clients with cowlicks on the tails, super coarse hairs, super thin and sparse brows, and clients that swim/surf regularly. If unsure about eligibility, please email over a photo of your brows at hello@brows-by-ash.com.
